What’s up, everyone! Check out some of the awesome stuff I’m reading this month:
For Business – The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It by Michael E. Gerber
I like to reread the E-Myth once a year because it’s full of life-changing perspective on how I operate both as a business owner and in my everyday personal life. This book isn’t just for business owners – it’s a great read for anyone to get a better understanding of how to think about and systemize tasks that often overwhelm us. For Everyone – How to Talk to Anyone: 92 Little Tricks for Big Success in Relationships by Leil Lowndes
I discovered this book on Amazon and was sucked in by the title right away. I’m a huge fan of thinking about the words that we use and the psychological impact they have on our conversations and how we view each other. A lot of the tips in this books are anecdotal without a ton of studies to back the suggestions, however, there’s still a ton of good information in here and it’s bound to help anyone and everyone that reads it. For Fun – The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey
I’m a huge fan of Rick Yancey. If you haven’t read his The Monstrumologist or The Fifth Wave series, I can’t recommend them more. These are the best works of fiction I’ve read in years. Both The Monstrumologist and The Fifth Wave are considered Young Adult, although they’re extremely intense, violent, and complex reads in the vein of Hunger Games (although Yancey is arguably a much better wordsmith than Suzanne Collins). If you click below and pick them up please shoot me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org to tell me what you thought!
